USPS (stamps.com) Shipping Integration Issue

Incident Report for resero CampusCloud & SmartLockers

Monitoring

We have identified an upstream change affecting USPS shipping services through Stamps.com. USPS is now requiring package dimensions for certain rate requests. When dimensions are not provided, affected USPS shipping options may not be returned during checkout.

USPS did not publish or communicate that package dimensions would become a hard requirement for obtaining these rates at this time. The available information indicated that dimensional-data noncompliance requirements were not expected to take effect until 2027 at the earliest. We are working with our shipping technology partners to determine what short-term and permanent options are available.

In the meantime, stores may use one of the following temporary alternatives:

- Configure UPS and/or FedEx shipping services through Calcurates.
- Use non-dimensional USPS Flat Rate shipping services through Calcurates.
- Use the Local Delivery option in CampusCloud to charge a flat shipping rate, then create the USPS shipment and label manually.

We understand that these alternatives do not provide the normal integrated USPS workflow and real-time rates, and that they may require additional work for store staff. We are working to restore USPS shipping through the CampusCloud and Calcurates integration and will update this notice as additional information becomes available.

Because this requirement took effect without advance notice or published guidance from USPS, the change was wholly unexpected by all parties involved. We recognize the additional burden this places on stores and are working toward a solution.
